Damage Reports from Atlanta

A possible tornado has struck the Georgia Dome tonight as Alabama and Mississippi State in overtime during the SEC Basketball Tournament. The suspended roof was visibly moving in the powerful winds and there are reportedly tears in the fabric.

The game is postponed for the time being. Announcers reported hearing a locomotive sound.

3/14 20:58:27 1 Nw Atlanta [Fulton Co, GA] emergency mngr reports TORNADO at 09:40 PM EDT — possible tornado caused damage to the georgia dome. damage at cnn also reported from media.

3/14 21:09:44 WAGA reporter on scene reporting multiple windows blown out at Omni Atlanta hotel, debris on centennial ave, and reports of injuries.

Another powerful storm is moving toward Atlanta from the WNW.

No injuries reported at the Georgia Dome according to WXIA.
