THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR…
EASTERN DOUGLAS COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL GEORGIA
CENTRAL FULTON COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL GEORGIA

* UNTIL 1115 PM EDT

* AT 1026 PM EDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING NICKEL SIZED HAIL…AND
DAMAGING WINDS UP TO 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR
DOUGLASVILLE…MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH.

* OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
DOUGLASVILLE…MIDWAY…CHAPEL HILL…LITHIA SPRINGS…SWEETWATER
CREEK STATE PARK…UNION CITY…EAST POINT…COLLEGE PARK…TURNER
FIELD AND HAPEVILLE.

DOPPLER RADAR HAS INDICATED ROTATION WITHIN THIS STORM. ALTHOUGH
CURRENT DATA DOES NOT INDICATE THE EXISTENCE OF A TORNADO…A TORNADO
MAY STILL DEVELOP. IF A TORNADO IS SPOTTED…ACT QUICKLY AND MOVE TO
A PLACE OF SAFETY INSIDE A STURDY STRUCTURE…SUCH AS A BASEMENT OR
SMALL INTERIOR ROOM.
