Some Flooding Reports

Rainfall amounts according to Doppler Radar estimates are between 1 and 2 inches over a fairly wide area along and north of the I-59 corridor. You can see those in the right panel of the graphic in the areas in yellow and red. The left panel is the current radar reflectivity showing the areas of heaviest rainfall now.

John Talbot is reporting 1.02 inches as of 5:57 p.m. at his location between Concord and Hueytown.

The Birmingham Airport has picked up 0.65 inches as of 5:53 p.m.

Accordingly, we are starting to get some reports of flooding across North Central Alabama this evening.

From John Talbot: Walker County Fire reporting that Smith Lake Dam Rd @ Drummond Lake is completely flooded.

From the NWS: at least six inches of standing water over portions of Airport Rd. in Jasper.
