Wind Advisory Issued

You’ve probably noticed the strong winds across Central Alabama tonight.

Accordingly, a wind advisory has been issued for the area.

Winds are averaging 20-30 mph with occasional gusts over 35 mph. The winds will be strong enough to down a few trees.

Western sections, including Fayette, Greene, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Sumter, Walker and Winston Counties will experience them through midnight.

Middle sections, including Blount, Hale, Jefferson and Tuscaloosa Counties will experience them through 6 a.m.

Eastern counties will experience the highest winds after midnight.
