Isolated Storms Continue

| July 20, 2013 @ 6:31 pm

For most for most of today, showers and thunderstorms have impacted areas across Alabama. More widespread activity has been over eastern portions of the state, with even some flooding reported in Calhoun County.

As we head into this evening, there are still some loud thunderboomers ongoing in some areas. A more intense storm is ongoing across western portions of Jefferson County, impacting areas around Adger, North Johns and Oak Grove. Elsewhere, storms are impacting portions of Talladega, Clay, Chambers, Randolph and Macon Counties.

For the rest of the evening, additional showers and storms will likely develop along the many outflow boundaries that have been sent out by convection earlier today. Once again, no storms are severe, but have been intense with frequent lightning and torrential rains.
