Strong Storms Ongoing
Strong storms are impacting portions of Central Alabama, including the Birmingham metro.
Storms are not severe, but there are producing tremendous amounts of lightning, thunder, gusty winds and very heavy rain. These storms will continue to push east for the next few hours and last through the overnight hours.
Outside the Birmingham metro, strong storms are affecting Fayette, Lamar and Walker Counties. We are also watching additional storms in Central Mississippi that should continue to move east and if they hold together will be impacting Alabama during the early morning hours.
