Severe thunderstorm warnings continue for extreme western Clay, northern Coosa, northeastern Shelby, extreme southern St. Clair and western Talladega Counties…

Huge thunderstorm that has produced numerous reports of large hail, wind damage and house fires from lightning extends from Harpersville and Vincent in eastern Shelby County to near Talladega.

It is moving SSW at 15-20 mph.

It will affect communities around Wilsonville, Childersburg, Sylacauga and Talladega Springs.

The storm has begun to gust out, so perhaps it will begin to weaken. New storms may form to the south along this new outflow boundary.
