Alabama 811 | Know What's Below.

From Severe Storms to Severe Cold

It has turned very cold this morning across the northern half of Alabama. Looking at the 3 AM hourly weather round-up, many cities north of Birmingham have temperatures in the 20s with a howling northwest wind, and that pushes the wind chill factor (what it feels like to your body) down into the middle teens in north Alabama and the lower 20s around Birmingham, Anniston, and Tuscaloosa.

Monday and Tuesday of this week were very much like Spring; however, that’s all changed this morning. Folks say that Alabama’s weather can turn on a dime, but this morning, it has turned on something even smaller than that! Bundle up today; we’re only expecting a high in the 35-40 degree range with the wind chill in the 20s for most of the afternoon!
