Long Shadow This Evening

Thanks to all who took the time to send in sunset images this evening with an odd shadow over parts of North Alabama… this was visible clearly from places like Smith Lake.

The shadow was from a lone thunderstorm near Memphis, in the exact spot where the sun was going down on the horizon. The storm was over 50,000 feet tall, and cast a very long shadow…
