LEARING: As forecast, the sky has cleared over the northern half of Alabama this afternoon; showers linger south of a line from Lafayette to Montgomery to Monroeville. Those showers across East and South Alabama will end this evening, and the entire state will be dry tonight. Temperatures are only in the 60s over much of North Alabama, and by daybreak tomorrow we will drop into the 38-45 degree range.
SEVERE CLEAR: The sky is sunny across Alabama this afternoon with temperatures generally in the 60s. Tonight will be clear and cold for early April with a low between 35 and 45 degrees for most communities.
THIS AFTERNOON: The sky has cleared across most of Alabama at mid-afternoon, but there is a lingering, narrow band of clouds around I-20/59. Those clouds are dissipating quickly, and the sky will be clear statewide tonight. As expected, temperatures are much colder today with readings mostly in the 40s. The low early tomorrow morning will be in the 20s for most communities.

BEAUTIFUL DECEMBER DAY: As advertised, temperatures have warmed nicely across Alabama today with sunshine in full supply for most communities. The only part the state with a cloud cover is the southern part of Mobile and Baldwin counties. Temperatures are mostly in the 60-65 degree range. Tonight will be clear and chilly with a low in the 30s.
COOL, DRY AFTERNOON: As expected, the sky has cleared over much of Alabama this afternoon, and temperatures are mostly in the 55-60 degree range, right at seasonal averages for December 8. Tonight will be mostly fair and cold with a low in the 30s… colder spots will see a light freeze.
BIG WARM-UP: Many Alabama communities that were below freezing this morning have warmed into the mid 60s this afternoon with sunshine in full supply. The 40 degree climb means the air is very dry, and dry weather will continue across Alabama through the beginning of the weekend.
