OCCASIONAL SHOWERS: An unsettled weather pattern will continue across Alabama this week as an upper trough persists just to the west, keeping the air unstable. We are forecasting scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms on a daily basis through Friday.
RADAR CHECK: A number of showers and thunderstorms are in progress across Alabama this afternoon. Not raining everywhere, but the stronger storms are producing heavy rain and a good bit of lightning. With a limited amount of sun temperatures are only in the low to mid 80s across much of the state.
RADAR CHECK: Large areas of rain are moving through Alabama early this morning, and we continue to forecast occasional showers and thunderstorms today and tonight. With high precipitable water values, storms will be very efficient rain producers. Heavier storms will also be capable of producing strong gusty winds and lots of lightning.

WET/UNSETTLED PATTERN AHEAD: We have a few spotty showers over North Alabama early this morning, but the main round of showers and storms will come in the 12 noon to 12 midnight time frame later today and tonight as an upper trough beats down the heat ridge.
RADAR CHECK: We have scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms across Alabama this afternoon; some are producing torrential rain, strong winds, and lots of lighting. A few lingering showers are possible through the night; lows will be in the 70s.
RADAR CHECK: We have a number of showers and storms early this morning over East Alabama; the rest of the state is dry with temperatures in the 70s. Expect a mix of sun and clouds today with scattered to numerous showers and storms by afternoon
RADAR CHECK: We have another day of scattered summer soakers across Alabama. Storms are producing very heavy rain, frequent lighting, and gusty winds as they move to the east. Where rain is falling temperatures are in the 70s and 80s, away from the storms we have low to mid 90s.
RADAR CHECK: Rain is falling early this morning in spot spots north and west of Birmingham; the rest of the state is dry with temperatures in the 70s. With a mix of sun and clouds we expect a high in the low to mid 90s today with random, scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and early tonight.
RADAR CHECK: Bands of showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain, continue across Alabama this afternoon. Rain will end soon after sunset tonight, and the sky becomes mostly fair with a low in the 67-73 degree range early tomorrow.
TROPICAL TUESDAY: The remnant circulation of Beryl will pass well to the north of Alabama today, but it will help to pull some deeper tropical moisture into the state helping in the production of scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms.
RADAR CHECK: Clusters of showers and strong thunderstorms continue across Alabama early this afternoon ahead of a surface front. Temperatures are in the 80s over North Alabama, with 90s to the south. Showers will slowly fade late tonight.
RADAR CHECK: We are watching an organized batch of rain and storms over West Tennessee early this morning; if it holds together it will enter the northeast corner of Alabama a little later with some heavy rain and gusty winds. Additional showers and storms will form over the rest of the state later in the day ahead of a surface front
RADAR CHECK: Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue across Alabama this afternoon. The key word is scattered; not raining everywhere, but some places are getting a good summer soaker. The showers are rotating around a broad upper low that formed over the state; they will diminish after dark.
