It’s the same old song and dance each day in the weather across Alabama this week. The days usually start off dry with a partly sunny sky. The days are very warm and humid with highs in the mid to upper 80s each afternoon.
Nancy Sites Sizemore of Gulf Shores says she’s been making her Green ChiIe Cheese Squares “forever.” The original recipe was printed in a newspaper many years ago, but Sizemore has changed it up a bit by adding more green chiles.
A steamy start to the week brings daily rounds of scattered to numerous afternoon storms, with hot and humid conditions persisting through midweek across Central Alabama.
As of 10:50AM, we are seeing scattered showers and storms over the southeast corner of the state, along with some showers forming over the western parts of Alabama, in between Fayette and Tuscaloosa.

The forecast for Saturday features a classic summer setup with widespread afternoon storms, high humidity, and temperatures climbing into the upper 80s and low 90s across Alabama.
