The latest U.S. Drought Monitor was released today and we have some improvement for Alabama, but still most of the state in some sort of drought category.

Today is another dry day, but moisture levels are on the rise, and we will mention a chance of showers over the southern half of the state, and perhaps these showers start moving north tonight.
Wanted to throw everyone’s way the latest on the tropics! We still have Kirk and Leslie in the Atlantic. Still watching the Gulf and as of now nothing major is brewing which is good news. That doesn’t mean there won’t be an increase in showers and storms for parts of the Gulf region and we will look at that in this update!

Today is dry statewide with highs in the mid 80s. We are seeing sunshine in full supply along with that beautiful cobalt blue sky.
Time for a look at the tropics this Wednesday late morning! We have the latest from the NHC on a new Tropical Depression and on Kirk, and will look at the latest information we have from the models on what may or may not be brewing in the Gulf. It remains complicated.
