It’s that time of year — MCS season is in full swing across the Southeast. We’re looking at multiple rounds of rain and storms through the holiday weekend, and some of them could pack a punch.
SUNNY MAY AFTERNOON: The sky is mostly sunny across Alabama this afternoon; no rain on radar. Temperatures are in the upper 70s over North Alabama, with 80s to the south. Tonight will be mostly fair with a low in the 60s.

Beautiful weather to end the work week across Alabama as we are seeing more sun than clouds and comfortable conditions. Low humidity and afternoon highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s, it is a pretty pleasant late May day
SUNNY DAY AHEAD: Alabama’s weather will be dry today; with a good supply of sunshine we expect a high in the 78-84 degree range.
SUNNY MAY DAY: The sky is sunny across Alabama this afternoon with temperatures in the 80s. No rain on radar; tonight will be fair with a low in the 60s.
The National Weather Service has conducted storm surveys regarding Tuesday nights storms which produced EF-1 and EF-2 tornadoes in northern and eastern Alabama.
Highs today are climbing into the mid to upper 80s this afternoon. Tomorrow, cooler and drier air will move into the state with highs falling into the 70s over the northern half of the state, while 80s are expected over South Alabama.

RADAR CHECK: We note some light rain is falling early this morning over the Tennessee Valley of North Alabama… the rest of the state is dry with temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s.
RADAR CHECK: A few spotty showers are moving quickly along the Gulf Coast this afternoon…the rest of Alabama is dry with a mostly sunny sky. Temperatures are mostly in the low to mid 80s. Showers on the coast will end this evening… tonight will be mostly fair with a low in the 60s.
Today through Friday will remain generally dry and we are seeing more sun than clouds. Highs today will be in the low 80s followed by mid to upper 80s tomorrow.

RADAR CHECK: We have a narrow band of showers and thunderstorms dropping southward through South Alabama early this morning; the rest of the state is dry. The showers will continue to drift southward while weakening this morning; otherwise most of Alabama will be dry today with a partly sunny sky.
