The sky is sunny, but a brisk northwest wind is making it feel cooler. The wind will die down tonight, and with a clear sky and light wind we project a low in the 33-40 degree range for most of North/Central Alabama early tomorrow

The cold front has pushed through and out of the state and has brought a down-right chilly air mass to Alabama today. The clouds are giving way to sunshine through the midday hours, and later today it will be all sunshine.
The April 2011 tornadoes brought destruction to Tuscaloosa but the decade since has brought an even greater recovery and healing.
COLD FRONT PASSING THROUGH: A sharp cold front is passing through Alabama early this morning. We note a few sprinkles over the Tennessee Valley, but for most places there will be no rain. The big story is the colder air; the day ahead will be windy and very cool with a high only in the 55-60 degree range. A brisk northwest wind of 12-25 mph will make it feel colder despite sunshine in full supply.
It was yet another example of how the 79th McDonald’s Magic City Classic presented by Coca-Cola was unlike any of the 78 that preceded it. But the game went on, with Alabama A&M pulling away in the second half to down Alabama State 38-14.
COLD FRONT ON THE WAY: Temperatures are in the mid to upper 70s across much of Alabama this afternoon with a good supply of sunshine. Clouds will increase tonight ahead of a cold front that will pass through the state early tomorrow morning. A few sprinkles are possible over the northern quarter of the state along the front, but most places will see no rain at all in a dry airmass.
