WARM APRIL DAY: Temperatures return to the 80s across all of Alabama this afternoon with a mix of sun and clouds. We will mention the chance of a few spotty showers or thunderstorms this afternoon or tonight, but nothing too widespread.
The Alabama State Council on the Arts has selected eight distinguished honorees for its annual awards ceremony recognizing notable Alabamians for their work and contributions to the arts.
RADAR CHECK: Showers continue to move over the northern half of Alabama this afternoon along with a few thunderstorms. The sky is mostly cloudy, with the exception of the southeast counties of the state where the sun is out.
Showers and storms are continuing to push east through North/Central Alabama late this morning and into the afternoon as a dynamic storm system passes well north of Alabama.
Bishop State Community College announced that its culinary arts program has qualified for a five-year reaccreditation by the American Culinary Federation Educational Foundation.

ANOTHER WARM DAY: We project a high in the low 80s for most communities across Alabama today. The sky will feature more clouds than sun, and while a sprinkle or two can’t be ruled out, most places will stay dry.
