Strong Storms Push Eastward
Our line of storms is pushing eastward tonight across North and Central Alabama.
It extends from near Double Springs to Carbon Hill to Berry to Coker to Aliceville to near Scooba in Mississippi.
The storms are moving slowly to the east. They will be in the Tuscaloosa area before 730 p.m. and in Jasper before 8 p.m.
It may be between 9 and 930 p.m. that the storms make it to Birmingham. But an area of rain is expanding across eastern Tuscaloosa County and southwestern Jefferson County.
The storms are not severe at this time. Be alert for very heavy rain, dangerous lightning and winds that could gust to 45 mph though. There could be a couple of severe thunderstorm warnings, especially for the storms coming into Pickens, Sumter and Greene Counties right now from Mississippi.
