Some North Central Alabama Snow Fans May Be Happy Tonight

Our high-resolution HRRR model depicts a nice band of snow setting up in the I-20 Corridor tonight.

Here is an animation of the model’s predicted precipitation type over the next 12 hours:

I think a 50 or so mile wide stripe of North Central Alabama will see .5 to 2 inches of snow this evening. There may be a few surprises as well as some disappointments too.
