Wind Advisory Starting At Midnight Tonight Until 6:00 PM Monday

| January 22, 2017 @ 9:29 am

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Wind Advisory which goes into effect starting at midnight tonight and lasting until 6:00 PM on Monday evening.

Winds will be gusty on Monday as a strong low pressure system moves to our east.

Winds will be sustained at 20-30 MPH with higher gusts, especially for higher elevations.

Strong winds can break tree branches or down weaker trees, particularly in areas with saturated soils due to recent heavy rains.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 MPH are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Please use extra caution.
