Sun-Filled, Cooler Saturday

| February 25, 2017 @ 1:34 pm

The cold front moved through overnight, the sky has cleared, and a new air mass is ushering into the state.

It is a brisk day with gusty northwest winds and much cooler as temperatures are mainly in the upper 50s across Central Alabama, while 40s are hanging on in North Alabama, and 60s and 70s across South Alabama. It is a gorgeous day though with sunshine and blue sky as far as the eye can see.

FREEZING TEMPS TONIGHT: The clear sky tonight, and with the winds relaxing, a rather cold night is expected and many of us are going to be at or below freezing tonight. We should see a temperature range from 26-32 degrees for much of Central Alabama. Below is a snapshot of model output for temperatures at 6AM tomorrow morning.

FOR YOUR SUNDAY: After the cold start, it will be another gorgeous day for us all. The sky should be void of clouds again and with all the sunshine, temperatures should once again be around the 60 degree mark for tomorrow afternoon.
