A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect. A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for north central Alabama…and Middle Tennessee.

West central Jackson County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 615 PM CDT

* At 539 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Skyline, or 11 miles northwest of Scottsboro, moving east at 30 mph.
    HAZARD…Tornado.
    SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
    IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
    Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of west central Jackson County.
