Clearing Sky this Afternoon, Nice Night Ahead

| July 29, 2017 @ 12:02 pm

Our rare summertime cold front continues to sink south through the state this afternoon.

All the rain is confined to southern portions of the state this afternoon and will continue to push south ahead of the front.

We are starting to see the drier air mass move into the state from the north and the sky is clearing. We should be mainly sunny for the rest of our Saturday afternoon.

It remains rather warm with 80s in most locations, and there will be a few spots that see highs in the 90s this afternoon.

SOOTHING 60S TONIGHT/TOMORROW MORNING: The new air mass settles into the state tonight and under a clear sky, temperatures will slide down into the 60s overnight. Certainly a treat for us all, as there will be a hint of fall in the air, albeit just a hint, but definitely a rare summertime break from the muggy conditions.

SUNNY SUNDAY: Very nice weather for the rest of tomorrow. We are forecasting a sky full of sunshine, with only a few fair weather cumulus clouds dotting the sky. No threat of rain and highs tomorrow will range from the upper 80s to lower 90s, but with the lower humidity levels, those temperatures will be tolerable.
