Some Bridge Icing Possible Over NW Alabama

With surface temperatures at or just below freezing, some icy spots are possible over Northwest Alabama tonight, generally west of the line on the map below…

Even in that zone, roads should remain just wet…. the only issue is patchy ice on bridges. We note that Hamilton and Haleyville report 32 degrees now; Cullman and Fayette are at 35.

A cold rain continues for the rest of North Alabama tonight; no ice is expected for places like Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Anniston, or Gadsden. A full discussion and new Weather Xtreme video will be posted shortly…
