The storm that produced the eastern Mississippi/Pickens County tornado has definitely morphed into a mesoscale convective vortex. It is now over northwestern Walker County, so the NWS has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Walker and Winston Counties.

It has a high probability of producing wind damage, but it also could produce spin up tornadoes as well.
Folks from Jasper to Nauvoo up to Arley need to be in a safe place. There will be tree damage.

It will eventually move toward Eva and Falkville.

Doppler radar shows 67 knot winds at 5,500 feet south of Double Springs.

The intensity of the line of storms trailing from this MCV has increased.

Damage was reported at Glen Allen at 2:30 including a tree down on a house.
