Rain and Storms
Showers and storms continue to move across Alabama this morning. All of Alabama will see soaking rain during the morning hours. The more intense storms are along and south of the Interstate 20 corridor this morning and all this activity is moving east.
There are some reports of lightning and loud rumbles of thunder in many areas. Though heavy rain is occurring, as well as gusty winds, there are no severe storms across Central Alabama and we are not expecting any as all storms remain below severe limits. These showers and storms will last for several more hours.
If you are out and about this morning, use caution as there will be ponding on the roadways and some areas could also see some isolated flooding as a result of the heavy rainfall.
