Severe Weather Risk Down

| June 10, 2014 @ 3:19 pm

While a severe thunderstorm watch remained in effect until 6 pm for much of the eastern half of Alabama, I suspect that the NWS will be clearing most of the counties from the watch area. Thunderstorms, while they have maintained strong character, are gradually moving out of East Central Alabama at 3:18 pm and the only warnings were in South Alabama.

Muggy conditions will continue for the afternoon with temperatures generally in the 80s. Additional showers or small patches of rain may still occur in Central Alabama, but the severe weather threat has definitely diminished.
