Dry Weather Pattern Takes Hold

| May 1, 2015 @ 3:32 pm

**No afternoon Weather Xtreme video today**

COBALT BLUE SKY: Not a cloud in the Alabama sky today; temperatures are in the 69-73 degree range at most places… the humidity is low, and the visibility is excellent. Tonight will be clear and cool with a low down in the upper 40s.

WONDERFUL WEEKEND AHEAD: The sky will stay sunny tomorrow and Sunday with a warming trend; we reach the upper 70s tomorrow, with low 80s likely Sunday. No moisture, no chance of rain. Perfect for race weekend at Talladega, or anything else you want to do outside.

NEXT WEEK: An upper ridge will build across the eastern U.S… meaning the weather will be noticeably warmer, and still dry. We expect mostly sunny days and fair nights Monday through Friday with afternoon highs up in the low to mid 80s. Active weather will remain well to the northwest of our state.

AT THE BEACH: Doesn’t get much better… sunny days, fair nights over the weekend and through next week. Highs on the immediate coast will be in the upper 70s, and sea water temperatures are in the low to mid 70s.

WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 90 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes. This is the show all about weather featuring many familiar voices, including our meteorologists here at ABC 33/40.
