The Severe Thunderstorm Watch Has Expired

The National Weather Service allowed the Severe Thunderstorm Watch to expire at 10 p.m.

Strong to severe thunderstorms continue late this evening from Shelby County through Chilton County to west of Selma.

Colliding outflow boundaries through Chilton and Shelby Counties will maintain the storms’ intensity for the next hour or so. Flooding may be a problem as well.
