Scattered showers have developed across eastern and South Central Alabama this afternoon. A few have become storms, mainly from Alexander City to near Selma.

One strong storm is over northeastern Mississippi, west of Colbert and Franklin Counties.

Temperatures range from 86F at Birmingham to 87F at Anniston to 92F at Tuscaloosa.

Showers and storms will remain widely scattered across the area this afternoon, diminishing after sunset.

Expect more of the same tomorrow.

Rinse and repeat for Tuesday and Wednesday before an approaching cold front will trigger more widespread showers and storms for Thursday, perhaps lingering into Friday. But it will set the stage for a very nice weekend.
