No Rain Through The Weekend

| October 14, 2015 @ 3:29 pm

SUNNY WEDNESDAY: Temperatures have climbed about 35 degrees from morning low to afternoon high in the dry air across Alabama today. Most communities started the day in the upper 40s, and temperatures this afternoon are in the low 80s. The sky is sunny, and there is nothing on radar.

Temperatures

TOMORROW AND FRIDAY: Dry weather continues with sunny days and fair nights; afternoons will be warm with temperatures up in the low to mid 80s both days. Dew points will stay down in the 40s, however, so the warmth will be fairly comfortable.

WEEKEND COOL DOWN: The coolest air so far this season is due in here over the weekend; highs drop into the 67-70 degree range Saturday and Sunday, and we project a low down in the low 40s early Sunday morning. Colder pockets should visit the upper 30s for the first time this season, and there is some risk of a touch of light frost in a few valleys and protected areas. The air stays dry, and the sky will stay sunny both days with a cobalt blue sky.

NEXT WEEK: The weather stays dry and pleasant Monday through Wednesday, and the latest model data hints the chance of rain later in the week is fading with the main upper support passing well to the north of Alabama. See maps, graphics, and more details on the Weather Xtreme video. We do note both the GFS and the ECMWF hint at some kind of tropical low in the Southwest Gulf of Mexico in about 8-10 days.
