RADAR CHECK: We have a few isolated, small showers across Alabama this afternoon, otherwise the sky features a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures mostly in the 80s. Low 90s are being reported across the southeast counties of the state; Ozark is up to 93 degrees at mid-afternoon.
It is another very warm day with temperatures in the upper 80s and lower 90s and a few isolated storms are possible this afternoon, but most locations will remain dry.
LIKE SUMMER: We project a high in the 87-91 degree range across Alabama today with a mix of sun and clouds. A few isolated showers or storms could pop up this afternoon and early tonight, but many places will be dry.
At 748 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Ider, or 13 miles north of Fort Payne, moving east at 40 mph.
At 726 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Pisgah, or 12 miles east of Scottsboro, moving east at 25 mph.
RADAR CHECK: We have a few widely scattered showers over mainly the western half of Alabama at mid-afternoon; temperatures are in the mid to upper 80s with a mix of sun and clouds. We note Dothan has reached 91 degrees.
Today we are seeing a mix of sun and clouds and very warm temperatures with temperatures well into the mid and upper 80s this afternoon. Scattered, random showers and storms will once again be on the radar this afternoon and evening across the state.
