Two thunderstorms have merged over Marion County making for a strong storm that is just south of Hamilton. It will push east northeast, paralleling US-278 and heading over mostly rural country toward Natural Bridge in Winston County. Expect torrential rains and lightning as well as gusty winds with this storm.
Heavy storms have quickly developed across the Birmingham Metro area in the past hour. They are heaviest over western Jefferson County from Graysville, Adamsville to Mulga and westward over rural parts of the county.
