Tuskegee residents and other Alabamians may make the case that the U.S. Mint saved the best for last. The mint on Monday released the 2021 America the Beautiful Quarter honoring the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site.
RAIN, MAYBE SOME SNOW ON THE WAY: Clouds are slowly increasing across Alabama this afternoon ahead of the next weather system to the west; temperatures are mostly in the mid 50s with a canopy of high cirrus clouds overhead. Clouds will thicken and lower tonight.
Alabama’s Black Belt region is so named for the fertile soil blanketing its gentle hills and flatlands, earth that yields bountiful crop harvests and abundant outdoor pursuits.

The weather will stay dry today with a partly to mostly sunny sky; temperatures reach the mid 50s this afternoon. Clouds will increase tonight as the next weather system approaches from the west.
