Thanks to the nearly 200 people who responded to the solicitation for audience members for the Town Hall on the April 27th Alabama Tornadoes. It will be held on Tuesday evening, October 18, 2011 from 7 p.m until 9 p.m. at the Wynfrey Hotel in conjunction with the National Weather Association Annual Meeting.

Your official invitation to the event just went out to the email address you supplied with the survey in September.

If you received an invitation, please RSVP as soon as possible so we can start preparing your registration materials and customizing your personal audience response clicker.

If you are attending, please be prepared to arrive between 6-6:15 p.m. that evening at the Wynfrey Ballroom so you can check in, get your materials and be seated comfortably.

If you are chosen for the Focus Group on stage, be aware you will get a separate invitation. Please RSVP on it as soon as possible as well.

It is going to be a fascinating and educational night for the greatest collection of meteorologists, social scientists and emergency managers to be assembled in one place for such a purpose. Thank you for being a part of this worthwhile event as we work together to reduce future death tolls from tornadoes.
