None of the storms are severe at this time, but a couple of isolated severe reports are likely.
At 107 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Priceville, or near Hartselle, moving east at 25 mph.
A severe thunderstorm is located 9 miles west of Moulton, moving east at 15 mph. Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees is likely.
While much of the area is dry with some sunshine peaking through the clouds, an already climbing instability and higher lapse rates are allowing rain and storms to develop and move across portions of North and Central Alabama.
Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible across Central Alabama today, with a dry and warm spell starting Sunday and lasting into midweek, before scattered showers return later in the week.
