Flood Warning For Village Creek In Birmingham

Heavy rainfall of around two inches has occurred this morning and is producing rises along Village Creek. A Flood Warning is now in effect for Village Creek at Avenue W.

Do not drive cars through flooded areas. Turn Around…Don’t Drown.

Forecast information for Village Creek At At Avenue W.
* At 9:15 AM Tuesday The stage Was 9.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 10 feet.
* No flooding is currently forecast and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast…Rise to 10.5 to 11 feet during the next hour and then begin to fall.
* Impact…At 11 feet…Sections of the road in the digest area of the water treatment plant are flooded. Additional flooding in the digest area of the water treatment plant occurs and increases as the creek level rises.
