Those pics are impressive for North Alabama. It apppeared they were fortunate to be in the higher elevations. Did anyone get any measurable snow in the BHAM area?

Keith, here n the Crestwood neighborhood of Bham we got alittle (very little…. LOL!) trace of white on the grass & deck but it did not stay very long on the ground! Just enough time for me to snap a picture & take a video of the heavy HUGE & beautiful flakes. Suprised no more than a dusting because it snowed heavy from 6:30 until 10:30 like our last snow on Feb 12th! Oh well! U never know with the way this winter has been that this might not b the last we have seen of the snow! Its been quiet an unusual one to say the least. My only dissapointment this winter has been no real big snow that covered roads ect… especially as cold as its been & the pattern we have also been in for months. Just was not in the cards. Thought we might have an ice storm this year since its been since the 1980′s here n Bham for ice. Way over due! But i enjoyed watching it fall & always am amazed how much snow fell just 20 miles or so north of here! Oh well, as usual for Bham! Im moving to Northeast Alabama… LOL!!

Well, I visited our state’s highest point around noon today. A winter wonderland. At least 3.5-4 inches of snow. Also I had predicted Cullman and Blount county would get 2-3 inches and I said MENTONE would get 5.8 and they got 6!!! Now I am ready for SPRING!!! and 75 degrees!WEATHER is funny. ON a cold windless morning the VALLEYS are 10-15 degrees colder than the ridge tops… But he ridges and mountains get colder on cloudy and snowy days! Go Figure!!

We ended up with 5.25″s here at my place but I just got back from a trip inside the Duggar Mtn Wilderness area which is about 3 miles from my home and I measured near the top of Duggar Mtn. it was 7.75″s, Duggar Mountain is the second highest peak in Alabama @ 2140 ft. Current temp here is 30.3 deg. With still some light snow.
