Tropical Storm Lisa Forms

The National Hurricane Center has designated Tropical Depression #14 as Tropical Storm “Lisa” as of 4 AM CDT. Lisa has 40 MPH sustained winds and is currently no threat to land. The storm is expected to stay below hurricane strength as it slowly drifts west-northwest through the eastern Atlantic Ocean.

Another tropical wave near the Windward Islands bears watching for some action in the Caribbean and ultimately the Gulf of Mexico over the next 7 to 10 days.
