Plus Dr. Gray has some additional comments on Al Gore’s receipt of the Nobel Peace Prize including how politics seems to have gotten into the mix. We even include a few sound bites from Mr. Gore underlining the drama of the topic of global warming.

Water Wars: Georgia and Alabama share a common border plus both states have been experiencing a significant drought over much of 2007. This has led to some interesting speculations and lawsuits.

Upcoming Guest: If you are into weather, you’ve probably heard of this man. In fact, if you are into WeatherBrains, you have heard of this man. Next week in episode 91 we are planning to have live from Tampa a very special guest, Roy Leep. Roy is a genuine legend in television weather on the west coast of Florida where he worked for 40 years bringing innovations and professionalism to the presentation of weather.

From The Weather Center:

  • WeatherBrains 101: Glaciation? Has the professor stepped over the line into geology and glaciers? Nope, glaciation is a process that goes on in the atmosphere as updrafts build to levels where moisture can freeze. This week the illustrious professor takes us into the upper reaches of updrafts and thunderstorms.
  • This Week In Weather History: The week of October 16th featured the launch of the first GOES in 1965. Hurricanes still make the news, too, with Hurricane King in South Florida that was very small. And weather affects the World Series. Plus other amazing weather history.

Join James Spann, Kevin Selle, Brian Peters, David Black, and the legendary JB Elliott for this look at the field of weather in the latest episode of WeatherBrains.
