Friday Night In Atlanta

Thanks to meteorologist Josh Johnson of WXIA-TV in Atlanta for this image. He writes….

“We got this pic late last night… Based on the damage swath, we think the tornado is in the center of the image, obscured behind the clouds extending down from the base.”

  3. if one were to go outside and the clouds and sky looked like this, you would know something very serious was fixin to happen. this fits in well with the weather channels ( it could happen tommorrow). i bet they never thought it would happen to downtown atlanta.

  4. James From Tuscaloosa says:

    Yeah, someone give us a link of that photo. Incredible. Do you notice the cylinder shape over on the left hand side, near that tall building with the lighted top? To me, that looks tornadic. Would love a link to this.

  12. Brian K. says:

    Yeah, this pic looks just like a scene from the movie THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, you know, the one where the huge tornadoes are tearing apart downtown Los Angeles? (LOL, that will NEVER happen!)

    Brian K;

    LA (not Lower Alabama) is either going to A) Burn up, B) Slide off into the Pacific Ocean by a mudslide, C) Shake apart by an earthquake, D) Love each other to death (Hollyweird is located there and is part of the LEFT coast, ya know), or E) become annexed by Mexico..

  17. Jamie says:

    Dr. Jeff Forbes explains what is being seen in the photo. Video provided by 11Alive.com (Atlanta News). The tornado is to the left hand side of the photo as I first thought when looking at the picture!
