Tornado Watch #44

Cold air damming, what we refer to as the wedge, has kept the air more stable across North and Central Alabama today. Dew points across North and Central Alabama were in the 40s while further south they were near 60. While rain and some thunderstorms are expected to move across the area after dark and into the early morning hours of Tuesday, the threat for severe storms should be held to extreme southern Alabama.
