Sunny Sky; Spring-like Temps

| February 7, 2015 @ 1:45 pm

The Alabama sky is filled with sunshine galore today, as hardly a cloud can be found in the beautiful, cobalt blue sky this afternoon. It is a gorgeous weekend of weather across the state and we will stay dry and pleasant well into our Sunday. Certainly any outdoor plans you have will have no problems courtesy of the weather this weekend.

Under the sunny sky, we are seeing a bit of a southerly flow. That is allowing warm air to move and we are seeing spring-like temps across the state. Early this afternoon, there are plenty of soothing 60s across the state. Over the next few hours, we should continue to see these temps climb a few more degrees and most locations should reach the mid to upper 60s. Heading into the overnight hours, we can expect another clear night, but temps will be warmer than last night. Most locations I think will stay in the lower 40s, but of course there will be some areas that will be back in the 30s.

If you like today, the you are going to love tomorrow. A few subtle differences; expect a few more clouds to be possible, especially late in the day, and the temperatures will be a few degrees warmer. I think the weather maps across Central Alabama tomorrow will have 70s on them.
