Otherwise, we have a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures generally in the low to mid 80s.

TOMORROW: The daytime hours tomorrow should be generally warm and dry with a high in the mid 80s; a surface front will still be a little north of the state. Then front then moves through slowly tomorrow night, and it could bring a few scattered showers or storms. Core risk will come from about 6:00 p.m. tomorrow through 4:00 a.m. Thursday. Nothing too widespread or heavy.

THURSDAY/FRIDAY: These days look delightful; models have trended cooler in recent runs with lower dewpoints. We expect a good supply of sunshine both days with lower humidity levels with a high between 80 and 83 degrees. Doesn’t get any better in late May.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: Saturday will be warm and dry with a high in the mid 80s; then just the risk of a few widely scattered showers during the afternoon hours Sunday and Monday as moisture levels rise a bit. No washout; highs will stay in the mid 80s.

SEC BASEBALL TOURNAMENT: Rain won’t be much of an issue for the game at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium through Sunday; highs will be in the 80s, and any showers will be few and far between. Great baseball weather for the boys of summer.

GULF COAST WEATHER: Looking good through the holiday weekend; about 8 to 10 hours of sunshine each day with only widely scattered showers or storms; highs on the immediate coast will be in the low 80s, with mid 80s inland. The sea water temperature this afternoon at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab is up to 84 degrees.

NEXT WEEK: Looks like temperatures will stay a little above average around here for the rest of May thanks to an upper ridge centered over Florida.
