RADAR CHECK: Alabama is rain-free this afternoon with a sunny sky and temperatures in the mid to upper 80s We do note strong storms over West Tennessee; some of these could clip far North Alabama this evening, mainly in areas north of the Tennessee River.
A mainly sunny and hot day across Alabama with temperatures surging into the upper 80s and lower 90s this afternoon. More of the same tomorrow, but we will mention the chance for a few widely, scattered showers and storms across the northern third of the state tomorrow afternoon.
SUNNY MAY WEATHER CONTINUES: With a good supply of sunshine we project a high in the 88-91 degree range for most Alabama communities today. We will bring in some risk of widely scattered showers or thunderstorms across the Tennessee Valley of North Alabama tomorrow, but the rest of the state will stay dry.
SUNNY MAY AFTERNOON: Temperatures are in the mid to upper 80s across Alabama this afternoon with a mostly sunny sky. Tonight will be clear with a low in the 60s.
It is a taste of summer this week across Alabama as highs surge into the upper 80s and lower 90s. Most of the week will remain dry, with mainly sunny days, and fair nights.
SUNNY MAY DAY AHEAD: With a mostly sunny sky, we project a high in the 87-91 degree range for most communities this afternoon. Highs will stay very close to 90 degrees for the rest of the week and through the holiday weekend as our summer preview continues.
RADAR CHECK: I see two small, isolated showers on radar at mid-afternoon… one over the Tennessee River near Rogersville, and one north of Brilliant in Marion County. Otherwise, the sky is mostly sunny with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s across Alabama.
