Flash Flood Warning — Parts of Calhoun, St. Clair Co. Until 9:30 am

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Flash Flood Warning for central St. Clair County and west central Calhoun County in Alabama, effective until 9:30 AM CDT.

Current Situation

At 6:29 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in the warned area. Flash flooding is either ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

The primary hazard is flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. This can lead to the flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, underpasses, and other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
