A winter weather advisory remains in effect until noon for Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston Counties until noon tomorrow. Up to one-half inch of snow may fall over these counties between midnight and 10 a.m. tomorrow. Plan on slippery conditions during the early morning hours tomorrow morning in the advisory area.

One interesting thing to watch, the latest runs of the HRRR have increased snow amounts over West Central Alabama a bit, now showing 1-2 inches for parts of Tuscaloosa County, as well as part of Pickens and Sumter County.

Not much has changed in our thinking regarding tonight’s winter weather threat. A wintry mix will enter West Alabama after midnight. The best chance for snow accumulations will be in parts of Lamar, Fayette, Walker, Marion, Winston, Cullman, Marshall, northern Etowah, and DeKalb Counties northward into the Tennessee Valley Counties of North Alabama.
