Significant Weather Advisory – Cherokee, Cleburne, Calhoun, & Etowah Until 10:00 PM CDT

A Significant Weather Advisory has been issued for Cherokee, Calhoun, Cleburne, and southeastern Etowah counties until 10:00 PM CDT. A strong storm was located stretching from near Triton to near Ohatchee. Storm was moving east at 45 MPH. Heavy rains, frequent lightning, winds up to 50 MPH, and some small hail can be expected.

Locations in the storm’s path include: Weaver, Jacksonville, and Piedmont.
