Heads Up at Talladega Superspeedway

A line of strong to severe storms is headed towards Talladega County, and to Talladega Superspeedway. There is a Severe thunderstorm Warning on the part of the storm that is headed towards the track. Wind gusts in excess of 60 MPH, dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning, and hail have been reported with these storms.

The line is moving to the east at 30-35 MPH. A severe Thunderstorm Warning is currently in effect for Jefferson and St. Clair Counties, which are directly west of Talladega County. Please find a place of shelter, as these storms should arrive at the track within 30-45 minutes.
