A Comfortable Day Today, But Heat Starts To Build Tomorrow Afternoon

What a beautiful day across Central Alabama so far. With dewpoints in the upper 40s to the low 50s in the area, it will make this break in the summertime heat feel comfortable. The rise in temperatures will start back tomorrow afternoon, and we’ll be in the mid 90s by the weekend. Enjoy today while you can.

RADAR & SATELLITE CHECK
Skies are clear at this time across the area, and along with clear skies, that means that radar is clear of any rain. Most of the southeastern United States is clear as of right now, except for the Florida Peninsula where showers and thunderstorms are currently affecting that area.

Lower dewpoints and a small decrease in afternoon highs will make today absolutely wonderful, so enjoy it while you can. It may be a while before we get another day like this. Mostly sunny to sunny skies for Central Alabama for the rest of today, with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s.

TOMORROW
The early morning will start of nice, with temperatures in the 50s and 60, but that won’t last long. The heat will start to build back in as an upper ridge builds in over the central United States, and the flow starts to shift from the north to a more east-northeast flow by tomorrow night, this will bring in a hotter, but dry, airmass into the state. Afternoon highs will be at or just above 90 degrees under a mostly sunny sky.
