Tornado Warning Continues For Parts Of Lee County Until 915 AM CST

…A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 AM CST FOR
NORTHWESTERN LEE COUNTY…
At 905 AM CST, a severe squall line capable of producing both
tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage was located along a
line extending from 6 miles northeast of Jacksons’ Gap to near
Auburn, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Tornado.
SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Locations impacted include…
Auburn, Notasulga, Waverly, Loachapoka and Roxana.

…THE TORNADO WARNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN TALLAPOOSA COUNTY IS
CANCELLED…
The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.
A tornado watch remains in effect until 1100 AM CST for southeastern
and east central Alabama.
